A May 2026 Message From The Director!
Spring Paddling is well under way and we are thrilled to welcome members back to Paddler Co-op and the Madawaska River. The enthusiasm and eagerness to learn we witnessed from our recent Moving Water Canoe Instructor Course students reminds us of how fortunate we are to share this beautiful stretch of river with our members.
With Palmerfest approaching, I am both saddened and open-minded in announcing that for the first time in 14 years I will not be present at the spring festival, as I (and the Valley Cats) attend a close friend’s wedding. With change comes opportunity and I am excited for new energy and staff to lift up this incredible event, carry the torch high, and to welcome three new music acts to offer variety and entertainment you won’t forget!
We are looking forward to reconnecting with many of you in the coming weeks and months. Happy Paddling!
