Course overview:
Become a moving water kayak instructor! This course is designed to bring experienced intermediate level paddlers into the exciting world of moving water instruction with the goal of developing effective and engaging teachers on the water. Take the next step in being a leader on the water, or upskill your abilities to begin working in the industry. This instructor course is an industry standard and pre-requisite for in instructing at whitewater paddling schools.
Duration: 8:30am-5:00pm
Instructor candidates will receive 3 days of coaching in how to deliver engaging lessons in moving water kayaking as well as skills development on the latest techniques and paddling styles. The final 2 days are dedicated to a day of skills evaluation on a paddling circuit set by the Instructor Trainer and a day of teaching evaluations with students and feedback from other instructor candidates and the Instructor Trainer.

This course is best suited for experienced, intermediate paddlers. We recommend participants have advanced paddling skills (confidence making a variety of moves in class 2 & 3 whitewater) prior to registering.
These will be full days with lots of hands-on content throughout. Plan to pack river-ready snacks and to brush up on skills beforehand!
