Our incredible instructors have been paddling and teaching for many years.
We take great pride in maintaining high program standards and offering inspiring and fun outdoor learning experiences.

Core Programs – Canoe and Kayak

Core programs are designed to get you hooked and keep you learning.  From beginner to advanced levels, reaching higher skill levels requires continued focused and effective feedback. To support this belief we work with highly qualified and effective instructors who shape each program to meet YOUR needs.  We offer Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Programs for Kayak and Canoe disciplines.

Community Kayak Night

Grab your friends, family or colleagues for our community kayak program. Wednesday and Thursday evenings come give kayaking a try, refresh your skills, advance your moves.  Facilitated by instructors, catering to your needs.  Adults and Children welcome, membership and advanced registration mandatory.  Beginning June 15th, 2016 weather dependent.

Custom Group Programs

Women’s groups, school groups, summer camps or a family reunion!? We can focus on your expectations, interests and goals into an incredible program.  Perhaps you’re interested in running a new river, fine-tuning skills, learning new ones, a yoga retreat, overnight camping skills or just refreshing your paddling.

Downriver Trips/Guiding

Negotiating a line through a new rapid or learning different moves on a river that you know and love is what paddling is all about. Join us for river running instruction or allow us to guide your dream trip on any of the exceptional rivers of eastern Ontario and western Quebec. We can focus on river running skills, good judgment and your groups specific needs.

Introductory Kayak or Canoe

Introductory whitewater canoe or kayak will equip you with basic skills, knowledge, and techniques to maneuver competently through whitewater rapids. We begin refining flat-water skills and progress to moving water skills, concepts and techniques.  Programs are safely paced to your particular needs and abilities.  Let it be known: whitewater is addictive!

The Madawaska River is warm and clean and our variety of rapids are appropriate for developing new skills. Camping is available at our private site next to the river.

We can offer certain certifications for beginners, inquire for details or discuss with your instructor.

Intermediate Kayak or Canoe

Intermediate Kayak or Canoe

Focus on fine-tuning your strokes and perfecting your whitewater maneuvers!  Be prepared to negotiate more challenging rapids with composure and grace.

Our intermediate programs are designed with one purpose:  to help you achieve your own paddling goals.  Whether you aim to become self-sufficient, capable of running multi-day trips or you would simply like to brush up on skills, this course level will get you there.

  • Great paddling comes with practice and feedback!
  • Available to both kayak, solo or tandem boaters.
  • If you are a tandem boater without a partner, no worries, you can paddle with another course participant or with the instructor.
  • Gather your friends and organize your own whitewater introductory course or book into a clinic already in the works!

Advanced Kayak or Canoe

Advanced Canoe and Kayak Playboating courses are suitable for those that have experienced the water and are comfortable in their boats.  Whether you want to learn new techniques, coaching for an instructor course or simply refresh your skills with the support of an instructor we can create an advanced course suitable to your needs.  For our advanced boaters we are also happy to venture to other rivers for the added challenge!

Your instructor will work with you to make the course suit your needs!
